As far as my father goes, his heart-break leading to his suicide & willingness to part with every material possession or thing which he had worked to acquire or build.. from that: I took the lesson that love matters more than anything else. Even though he complained that having kids ruined his life & didn't hug or tell his children that he loved them: he was hard-working, kind to animals, political, etc. Redeeming qualities besides genuinely loving my mother. Sadly, he believed no one would ever love him again & he gave-up on love: which led to his demise. On the contrary, my father's absence of love towards me & him losing the love of my mother: has taught me to value & invest more heavily into relationships. Perhaps it could be argued that I'm valuing love too highly & it has become a disorder. Janelle Monae had a song titled: "Love-Sick", but it has since disappeared due to an Mandela-effect. 4 of the earliest videos of yours: have disappeared as well. I was going to say earlier: that you don't have to write me a Valentine's Day for subscribing to t/highest tier of subscription options b/c you already provided me with a poem to listen to on Day 1. 2025-05-27 04:27:35 +0000 UTCAvoidant attachment is more common in men and this would be a cause. However it is not exclusive to men. Many women have avoidant attachment too. It would be interesting to see if the root causes are similar to them or if there are other factors involved.

I get they are for "this theory and only this theory" side of research, but I always wonder why they don't expand the theories to fully cover a subject. Example, my parents take this a step further. They were distant, but also meddled constantly. Not to help, but to hinder. I finally snapped at some point and just said, "F them... I'm done..." and decided to be the opposite of them. So I turned into a mix of something new. Also didn't have a family because of the fear of being like them and am now stuck in a marriage that isn't fulfilling because I learned these things to late. That being another aspect, of course, how long it takes to Self Correct and the damage done before you do. At least I wont pass it on to the next gen.
