I have a feeling this would have been a better story if he didn't start with a maxed out character. Who's ever heard of a gacha giving you a level capped character anyway? Where is the limit break material that you either spend absurd amounts of time farming or swipe for? Where is the skill level material that comes in abundance early until you get to about mid levels and then is the same.. This isn't gacha at all.

2025-10-08 18:23:17 +0000 UTCAfter the adaptations of Failure Frame and TBATE, I did not have much hope for this, but it looks like it was adapted better than expected. I agree that it would have been good to end the show with the summoning/pact with Mei, but they kinda skipped the whole betrayal. They should have skipped the whole heroes' journey thing at the beginning and instead just started with him already being in the party, and developed the characters he is going after. He was with them for years, but it felt more like a cult abducted someone in town and took them out to the forest to kill them.
