I love her backstory so much, perfectly explaining why she so obsessed with “Nonotan” , the retired idol. That’s who saved her from the deep, that’s who made the promise with her.

So no, Kimura did not get played by any means, clearly. It's funny how you were just immediately proven wrong right after saying all that lol. That aside, this ep was wholesome and adorable. Definitely top 5 of the season for me (amongst brand new anime).
