Joe didn't get Holo's intent. When she said she likes the hige (am important distinction to use, since it can mean either beard or moustache) longer, and did the sideways hand sweep thingie, she was quite literally referring to the horizontal length, not vertical length, since wolves have whiskers on the sides like cats do etc. See here an example of a handsome specimen: https://www.dairyglobal.net/app/uploads/2021/09/001_78_IMG_DAG_05_Wolves-848x565.jpg Actually now that I was myself inspecting the image even longer, I realized Lawrence's thinboi "beard" kinda looks like those thin follicles under the chin of this specimen infact, so I guess Holo wasn't lying when she said she quite liked his beard, huh?
