2025-12-27 12:24:06 +0000 UTCI liked it, even though death and gloom aren’t normally my go to…but I liked how he wanted to be Santa and give gifts and feel the love everyone else had but couldn’t because he’s not Christmas and that’s just not who he is 👍

My friends and I joke that it feels like when you group up in a dysfunctional household and spend your first weekend with a friend whose family is more functional. We like to change the lyrics to match. It also fits with him being being used to the role he’s been placed in, but has little perspective on life being any different until he find Christmas Town, but goes a bit overboard at first with attempting to to create a similar feeling in Halloween Town. He assumes everyone there is bored and wants something different. Just an all around fun movie with some deep thoughts on identity, choice, and the value of trusted community.

This was a section of the Catholic Requiem mass and has since been used in countless films, the most famous being the main theme to The Shining. It's used to evoke fear, death, tragedy, etc.

2025-12-24 16:33:41 +0000 UTCI went to Magic Kingdom during the Halloween season. If you like Disney World I highly recommend going during that time. The parade that goes through the park is all of the villain characters instead of the Prince and Princesses. They also do live shows and I got to see the Boogey Man perform his song. I know Disney World isnt for everyone and it may be weird for a 37yr old man with no kids to like it but I enjoyed going with my wife (exwife). Lol.

You seemed to enjoy it as well, although next time when ad breaks happen I'd rather you'd just mute them since I couldn't make out what you were saying while they were happening...
