Early Access - Holes segment for "Postcards from the Essay Library"

I hope you are having a nice summer. I am currently hard at work on multiple projects, but one smaller project that I wanted to share early is a segment I am doing in collaboration with The Essay Library, a group of fellow video essayists that are working on a project called "Postcards from the Essay Library"
This is the same group that did the Essay Jam back in January that resulted in my video about Gints Zilbalodis. This time the premise was to create a short mini essay that talked about a summer camp movie that was randomly assigned to us. Initially, I was given Friday the Thirteenth: the Final Chapter, though not even my slasher movie obsessed wife had much to say about that film. Luckily, we were able to request one reroll of the randomly assigned movies, resulting in my getting the banger option to cover the 2003 film adaptation of Louis Sachar's novel Holes.
I was able to complete the video edit in pretty quick order. So much so that I am currently working on a longer essay that goes into much more detail about the Novel, the film, and the ways that it feels incredibly applicable to the current state of America.
