Hey everyone!
For the past two years, I have been writing a Call of Cthulhu adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. The novel has served as a point of fascination for the past couple of years, specifically in the ways that it illustrates some of the worst elements of American society in both the 1920s and today. This was around the same time when I was becoming familiar with the Call of Cthulhu RPG system and enjoying its blend of historical fiction and horror. The result is an adventure where the investigators find Nick Carraway mysteriously dead, forcing them to solve the murder while possibly preventing the tragic ends seen in the original novel. Though to add that cosmic horror twist, the investigators will find that the horrors of inequality, obsession, and the American Dream seen in The Great Gatsby have been made supernaturally tangible through an entity known as 'the Man in Green.'
If you would like to see more of what I've worked on with this, I've attached a preview copy that contains the first section of the book, complete with all of the background info, four pre generated investigators that I would want people to play as, and some of the handouts created for this adventure.
This preview is still a work in progress, as I have commissioned some original art of the characters and am still in the process of transferring everything over from my design outline into this document. My overall goal with this is to try to publish this adventure to Chaosium's Miskatonic Repository, but I would also want to try to produce an actual play series that plays through the adventure.
Because of that, this is going to be the main focus for the next month or so, and hopefully I will be able to get this released later this year.
That's all for now, thanks as always for the continual support!
Best Wishes
