Update 6/19/23: I have uploaded a new version video with a couple of critical changes. I have hired fellow Moomin Scholar Kiki from Transparency to help create a Swedish translation of the captions so that International audiences are able to more easily share their stories with Moomin, which has been one of the biggest sources of joy that I have found in the original videos. I am similarly looking into also hiring someone to potentially translate the video into Japanese and Finnish for similar reasons. During this translation process, Kiki found a couple of areas that needed some fact-checking. Thankfully, nothing in the original series was inaccurate to the point of becoming misinformation, but there were things that I believed helped add further context and depth to the Moomin series and to Jansson's life. As such, I hope that once the video is released to the public, I hope that people who watched and enjoyed the original series are able to be redirected to this updated version, as I feel that this is going to be the definitive way to watch the series.
But if you enjoy such Moomin history, I would recommend reading through Kiki's dedicated Moomin research on her Tumblr Blog Mars Mom, or her website. Hope you enjoy this! Best Wishes!
