So the cover does show a lot Naruto took the blow meant for mikoto. Also showing that even though he is strong he still has a ways to go to match against someone like Obito or itachi. Also Itachi talking with the fox, he is probably going to share that he has little choice as the big reason is he did this to protect his brother. If he fails his brother will be killed and that will also let slip that Danzo was the one who gave him the order. Or will the fox be able to talk him into thinking differently? Can’t wait!

2025-02-26 18:28:43 +0000 UTC*pg.9*😢Man the look on Itachi’s face of realization that even killing 60% or any of his clan members may have been unnecessary and avoided had he just thought it out more and not been manipulated so easily. Naruto saved that one family from him but by this point Itachi’s already murdered several others just like them. Children and infants all innocent of their parent’s decisions. And now he’s coming to terms with it that he might’ve been able to avoid all of that had he just thought about it a little harder. Maybe Shisui’s eye wouldn’t have worked but now he’ll never know and he’ll have to live with that. I at least hope Fugaku and Mikoto survive this. Fugaku just went along with the radicals and the shame brought on by Itachi’s actions could very well turn him away from retaliation while really didn’t have a hand in any of it. Sasuke’s already lost his brother by this point. I hope that in this timeline he at least doesn’t lose his parents as well.

The mother supported him, under similar duress- the anime revealed this much when Fugaku showed Itachi what the clan would do and how he would take control of the Nine Tails using the Mangekyou. Overall, Mikoto had very little voice in these proceedings in both the light novel and the anime, which is a massive flaw and plot hole the author left out, because he wanted to artificially create a scenario where Sasuke was the only survivor and all alone.

After he had Kushina establish how big a deal the Uzumaki Clan was, I thought he'd do something with it. But now we're years into the Boruto storyline, and the Uzumaki Clan (and the Senju) has been forgotten to the pages of history, while the Uchiha- one of the former major clans- are teetering on the brink of irrelevancy.

2025-02-22 16:32:40 +0000 UTCThe Uzumaki Clan members who compiled those books were consumate scholars. Their job was to research every significant clan and jutsu, and find ways to counter it with their fuinjutsu. Hence why Naruto had such success in his surprise attack on Tobito.

Were you hoping to see the two most OP characters just have their way without any changes in THEIR circumstances, thereby negating the point of this story?
