Danger at Every Turn (commissioned)

For this piece, I used some line shading techniques I haven't done in a while, to give the illustration a pseudo comic page feel. Getting the shadows to look right was challenging, especially for Sydney (the brunette) and took a lot more time and references than I planned. But as it started coming together near the end, I found myself getting really absorbed in the work. I hope I can put this style to use in other projects someday.
