Secret Apparel Update No. 2

Finally. Samples came. However, the factory made a few mistakes here and there, and I'm going to walk you guys through them! Please have mercy on the quality of my photos. I whipped out my Level 1 photography skills and forced everyone to wear the clothes during work today. I tried to capture some candid moments so you guys can see how the clothes sit on myself, James, Lauren, and Amanda. I also took a few screenshots of our Creative Brainstorm stream (tier 3 offering) yesterday where you can see Noah in it as well in a different setting.

For ease of reference, I'm going to establish some terminology here. There are 2 front designs, and I will refer to each design as follows:

1) "Fancy Version"- The cursive script font combined with the CREATIVE DEPT text seen on the cream shirt front.
2) "Classic Version" - OFFLINETV CREATIVE DEPT shown on the front of the black shirt and the black hoodie.

COMMENTS:

White/Cream T-shirt: I originally had 2 samples made in different sizes and different font designs - one in Classic and one in Fancy so we could see which one we liked more .

They ended up sending me both with the same front design (Fancy), so that's a bit annoying. Thankfully, I can still see how the Classic screen print looks on the other vintage black garments, but I'm going to have to use my imagination a bit; I'll be requesting another sample done with the Classic front print on our Cream shirt.

Also, the cream shirt came out a bit more yellow than we expected. I've already requested another version be made in a "Vintage White" that may feel closer to the light cream that we are more accustomed to seeing.

Vintage Washed Black T-shirt: This one's a doozie. The whole concept of the back was to have the countries all tonal so that the "OFFLINE TELEVISION" really POPs and offers an alternative look to the cream variant where the countries are very prominent. However, the print technique they used on this black version didn't work out very well...

The font thickness definitely doesn't help because it's really thin (so I'll be beefing it up in this next version), but they definitely made a print error because you can see the CREATIVE DEPT text on the front that James is wearing pretty clearly. There's a solid difference between the print quality on the front and the back, so my hunch is that they used a bad screen or something. You can also see a weird white outline around the red/orange "OFFLINE TELEVISION" text in the back. A bit disappointed with the first quality received, but it should be easy fixes from here on.

Ultimately, I really do like how the text pops in the back, and I think this version really offers a less loud and more subtle design alternative.

Vintage Washed Black Hoodie: This one's actually pretty solid. No print or quality issues, so we should be able to head into production. I'm thinking about making a version where we see the countries on the back, similar to the shirt, but there's mixed feedback on having something super simple vs. consistent. Happy to hear some opinions in the comments below, but I'll probably put this one to a poll and see how many people prefer each version. If enough people like it, I could potentially just offer both options.

I CAN SEE THE FINISH LINE FAM. WE ARE SO CLOSE. It should be another 10 business days before I can get the next round from Portugal to our office here. This project has been a challenging one because it's really hard to make everyone happy with creative stuff. As a result, we've come to prioritize 2 things - the quality of the garment and a simple design.

Aside from the road bumps we ran into this round of sampling, hopefully you guys are just as excited as us to get your hands on this and start repp'ing the OfflineTV Creative Dept. :D
