Q&A: Sharing Virt-A-Mate Files

When I have the chance, I will take the time to answer a few questions and suggestions I get in my anonymous suggestion box. Below is a question I get a couple of times and I will try to answer it.

Would you be willing to offer a plan in the future that shares scenes?

No.

If you were wondering what software or game I use to make my animations, it's Virt-A-Mate. A sandbox game, developed by an independent developer called MeshedVR (https://www.patreon.com/meshedvr) available to everyone. It is possible to share many things in the game like characters, environments, clothes, objects (all kinds of objects), haircuts, skins and even scenes. Several people write to me to share my scenes and I have to decline every time.

I would like to share my scenes, I shared some of them on the Allthefallen.moe forum but I can't share everything.

I can't share my secrets, share my techniques, share what I have learned and acquired in more than 2 years.

I especially don't want to have to manage what I share, manage the shared files, make sure the scenes work for everyone. Doing customer service. I don't have enough time to make my own animations, I don't want to manage those for whom my scenes work more or less.

And finally, I can't share my scenes because I cheat to make my animations. I need more than 30 scenes to make an animation. Each action is a scene. If I had to share my animations, I would have to share several files. In the end, what you see in my animations cannot be experienced in Virt-A-Mate. Even I can't enjoy my own animations because each scene is a repetitive and pointless movement. It is by assembling each scene that I can make beautiful animations.

I hope you will understand.

Thank you.
