Scrubs Retrospective and an Update

I never watched Scrubs when it was on the air, and I think I may judged it from the vibe it gave off moreso than the content of the actual show. Sitting down and watching it for this video helped me appreciate it for what it is, and what it accomplished.

There are a few newish things I tried with this one, mostly in the presentation. Caption boxes look a little different, and the ending of the video uses a big musical number instead of the usual spiel from me.

As usual, if anyone notices errors, glitches, etc., please let me know.

My next political video has been delayed by a week because my subject had to go and get himself banned from YouTube for a bit, but I've gotten to work on another one in the mean time. I'm not sure which will be done first, but we'll see how things go.

Also, that Tucker Carlson video is still two months away as the thing I'm responding to likely won't be airing until October at the earliest. I might do some more background research to prep, but there's not a lot I can do to change the schedule on this one.

I have another fun project on that might be debuting sometime next month. It's completely unlike anything I've done so far, but I hope people enjoy it. I don't have a ton to share about it at the moment, but it's going to be extra content on top of my usual YouTube activities. Keep an eye on my Twitter or YouTube community page for more details in a few weeks!

Scrubs Retrospective and an Update

I’m glad you had such a good viewing of the series, especially when you hadn’t watched it prior. It definitely shows it’s age in some aspects, but it’s positives overwhelmingly outshine it’s negatives

Yeah, if the podcast is souring the experience, it might not be for you. I think the show stands up fine on its own, even though certain elements have not aged very well. And thank you! I appreciate it!

I loved Scrubs back in the day, and on several rewatches, but a few months ago when I tried to do a rewatch+following their podcast I was a bit weirded out. Donald Faison talking about how he bough brain pills out of a Joe Rogan recommendation just soured me on the whole experience... And an early episode had the morals be "Elliot, don't complain that men treat you like a girly girl, medicine is hard and just roll with these small sexist punches". I probably would've enjoyed more the show just going with it and ignoring the podcast, and that might just be what I do. Great video tho! Specially as someone who did not see or know what happened around season 9. Rest in peace Sam Lloyd.
