Hey perverts and pervettes, I've got some important news.
Power of Confidence has reached .7x. I shoot to have these games more or less finished after 10 versions. I don't want to milk them too much(I dicked around with the version numbers for the original Goodnight Kiss a bit but it pretty much worked out to `around 10 monthly releases). So that means I'm edging up toward an ending for PoC. It's going to be, in keeping with the tone of the game, really weird.
But that also means I'm looking toward the future. That brings me to the next thing I'm going to be working on: Goodnight Kiss 2

This time around you play as Eli Jones, a middle aged man who's feeling his oats and on a mission to take advantage of every girl in town.
The major difference the original is that Goodnight Kiss had one primary girl that the story mostly rotated around. No so for Goodnight Kiss 2. GNK2 is designed from the ground up to have as many girls as possible. The writing will be more serious than Power of Confidence and perhaps even than the original Goodnight Kiss itself. The world itself will be much bigger and more immersive.
The renders will be done at 1080p and there will be proper animations. I've learned a lot about lighting and composition since the original and I think it's fair to say GNK2 will look a lot better.
Thus far I've coded an engine. It's another iteration of the engine I've been building up through the original Goodnight Kiss and Power of Confidence, but it automates a lot of things that I previously hand coded. It'll make building new content easier and faster.
Right now I'm working on a tutorial section that serves as an intro.
January has been pretty busy for me. I'm gonna try and post a little bit more about what I'm working on for GNK2 and Power of Confidence. Expect a few posts about the new girls before the game drops.
