So far we have 5 enemies with every single sprite we need, but I wanted to have Hant ready too.
I found a little time between comissioned works to make new sprites for her, it is no use counting how many comissioned works I have left to complete them all, since many comissioners ask for a new animation just after I finish the one they wanted, but that is very good for funding, so I can't complain.
Programming last weeks was hell! but we managed to solve the issues, let me tell you:
You might remember our most recent programmer became unable to help us because he didn't had any more free time for us, nor I had enough funding for him, so I called my old programmer back, the one that didn't made a very good job the first year, he was unable to work on the build we had, but at least by studying it and testing it he learned how to do something similar, what happened next was this:
His version of Game Maker was outdated, so every time he sended me an exe the browser erased it believing it was a virus.
I tried turning my anti virus off every time he sended me a build, but that only made Window's anti virus erase the file instead, without even asking, and I could not find any way of turning that one off.
So instead I told him to send me an editable file, he did! but My version of Game Maker was different than his's, so the program was unable to read his code
So I told him he should update his GM version, we checked versions and turns out Mine was older.
So I told him he should check if he could get the GM version I have from Steam but.....my version of Game Maker is discontinued in Steam, so it is impossible to buy it in there.
At that time I asked in some forums for help, people said I need a digital signature for the anti virus to know the file is not a virus, and I needed money for that signature, I had no idea if I had to do that once, or for every single test build, but while thinking about that I had another idea, I told my programmer "What if you send me an install-able file?"
And after researching how to do that...it worked! I was able to test the game again! And...it was just features we already had implemented in previous builds.
But I feel we can do it this time, since I simplified some features of the game for him to be easier to understand and implement, and with the new animations and backgrounds the game will look very good, we just need him to make it smooth and fun to play, and with that we might get enough funds to hire an actual programmer!.
But well, that is all for now
I still have a lot of work to do, thanks, thanks a lot for your patience, tomorrow I will talk with my programmer to see what can he do and in how much time.
