Recap and WhatsNext - October 2025
Added 2025-10-31 17:17:17 +0000 UTCHello! Happy Halloween!
Let's briefly recap the month's productivity and then we can take a look at what's coming next.
Patron Releases:
Halloween Post: Elements Zombie Parts MiniPack
Also put the announcement page up for Godless Avalon, which is the little RPG I've been putting together in Game Maker, and I have it at a state now where I can pretty easily create new little NPCs or areas. Battles and final story scenes are a way off, and for now it's working as a little asset-showcase hub.
This month was great.
The arcade zone and ball-pit theme was a ton of fun to make, and it came entirely from patron requests and ideas; and then that branched off into the sports balls because it was a natural extension for the gameplay-- which you can use in all sorts of ways in your own projects, as interactive objects or just in the environments.
In fact-- now that we added the balls, my game-dev-nose is telling me to follow the line to the extreme and make some kickable bombs... π± Definitely not in the plans for my game lol, but now the idea's there it'd be a fun thing to make and probably not too bad implement so we could see it in action... so if I see anyone in the next req thread looking for some zelda-style-bombs I'm gonna jump on that π
But anyways; to business: what's next and where we at?

X-Modern Fun&Games Tiles Expansion Pack
Right now I want to detour to take advantage of the potential for a quick modern-themed expansion pack that compiles bonus releases and adds some sports stuff (which I realized that I had overlooked from Omega Modern!)
The Museum series (which I even remastered for both TF/TE and Omega Modern), or the Card shop tiles; and the gym add-on, in addition to this month's Arcade Zone; this set pretty much makes itself. So I wanted to jam this one together quickly, as a compilation of these sets and maybe a couple new thematic extras if I come up with something good.
If you have ideas for things to add/include to this set, please share them in tomorrow's request thread!
Shouldn't take more than a couple weeks to get this collection ready and we can build towards it for this November.
------
Next up for Time Elements:
The "current" set that we were working on is the Capital Town/City/Market.
The idea is (and always was) that this set follows from the hometown, caves/mines, and castle/catacombs and finishes the "core" series for the fantasy-setting part of "Time Elements".
Then, after that we have all of the hub tiles finished, we branch out into into the specific biomes for adventures/dungeons. (Potentially more frequent, but smaller/focused single-biome/dungeon sets). Those will then be intended to overlap with future setting-core-theme packs (for example, Time Elements: sci-fi cities).
Thing is (like always), the Capital Town/City/Market wants to be a lot bigger!
I think we can break it up and make something really really ultimate, especially because... well, we have so much to work with!
(just a small piece of my working-file of recent on-theme patron releases).

To I think we could split this onto a sort of ultimate workstations/interiors/shops set, and then the "Capital Town/City/Market/Bazaar/Docks" stuff separate into something different and more focused as an exterior-city-biome (plus... maybe "ultimate interiors" with the hometown and castle releases will be enough to make this kind of area anyways...?)
So the plan looks like this:
Now: X-Modern Fun&Games Tileset Pack
Next: Time Elements/Fantasy: Stations and Shops (ultimate interiors?)
shop stuff: bakery, butcher, library, alchemy, etc
tons of interior clutter for houses and buildings
Then -- I'll likely come up with a patron poll for what direction for the first project of the next year, and be set up well to spend 2026 pumping out focused dungeon/biome environments with plenty of specific content.
And as always, share your thoughts and ideas-- it's what you need, often specific ideas to fill out missing gaps in the series-- that ultimately decides where we go.
------
Okay-- thanks for letting me work through all that. Feels good to have a plan.
I'll be back on Monday to start November with a request thread. I look forward to seeing what creative ideas you have for me this month!
I hope you have a fun, happy and safe Halloween!
Thanks!

I'm really looking forward to seeing how a capital city pack looks! I've been mixing and matching other packs to get my capitals put together.
