New/Update Tree Tiles

Hello! I have some long-awaited new tiles to share with you today.

The primary tree of the Elements set is this cool pine tree, which was inspired by the FF6 single evergreen tree, and has a lot of tiling options especially for making borders around maps.

You might recognize the style from the alternative tree style that we've been developing for a few years now, all the way back to this old Oak. And while my other experiments with these trees resulted in some really great-looking trees; I think those have a different vibe to them: more of a setpiece than the staple "tree tile".

It's shorter and cuter than the other variants that we've worked with before, to fill that core RPG staple-spot which was missing in the Elements set. There's a lot of ways that you can combine the tiles together to maximize the base tree's 2x3 dimensions

This little tileset expands in a way that works like the Chrono-Trigger-inspired messy-tiling style that the Elements set was already using with the pine trees. Especially if you also enjoy leaning into the "imagine it with a CRT filter" style of SNES-tilework. 😝

Sorry this post took an extra day to put together-- my original idea for this week's Monday post ended up going way beyond scope.

I figured that instead of rushing it, it would make more sense to just delay the post by a day and put some time into an asset that's been on my patron to-do list for a while. I hope these trees will be useful for your game project.

As for what I originally planned for yesterday, we'll have to revisit that other idea in the future. ;)
