Update on Our Personal Lives

This is K.C. (Fiona) with an update of what is going on with both Ultra and myself. We are generally very private, but we feel it would be beneficial to share a bit of what is going on in our personal lives lately.
We are getting a divorce, and we're discussing custody agreements over our patrons. Half of you are going with Mommy and half of you are going with Daddy. Lol, just kidding. We're not divorcing yet. Now on with the real update.
Last week, we were supposed to move from the East Coast USA to the West Coast. We live in the greater NYC area, so the pandemic has been very disruptive to everyday life and morale. With everything shut down, we postponed our move. We’re trying to get our bearings again of when our next attempted move date will be.
A week before the state-wide shut-downs went into place, our infant son had an anaphylactic reaction. This has thrown us for a loop. Neither of us have ever had experience with food allergies or epinephrine auto-injectors before; now we’re rapidly ascending that learning curve.
We’re both going slightly mad in our own ways from all of the chaos, but we are hopeful for a better future.
Throughout this all, we have been continuously grateful to have our Patrons’ support. We are so lucky and so appreciative. You all have given us stability. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I can’t put into words how amazing it is to be creatively supported by so many people. You all are helping us. We hope we help you in return.
We are anxiously looking forward to our move. We currently live in a 600 sq foot studio apartment. We’re hoping to be able to rent a 2 bedroom apartment on the west coast. We’re going to have a dedicated work space, and we are so excited about that!
Right now we can’t predict what our month of May will look like. We are closing in on a new apartment lease. It looks like we might be actually moving at the end of May. Our sound treatment foam was already taken off the walls of our current apartment, because we were preparing to already be gone. So current files will have a slightly different quality tone to them. We are going to be working with what we have available, but it’s all in pursuit of a better future where we can make more hypnotic experiences and perhaps pursue different projects outside of just audio files.

I am happy that you have secured an apartment and sorry about your son. That is a new revelation. I am aware of the epi-pen and I have allergies to common things such as dust, mold and cigarettes. So, I happy that you son is okay. Food allergies for a new born can be serious and life threatening. Thanks for the update and wish you God's many blessings and peace.

But, it doesn’t sound like you would have enough space if we all went with you anyways, lol…😄 I would imagine limits of sanity are already being pushed, cooped up in that tiny apartment all day... I’m so sorry to hear about what happened to your son, at least it was before all the hospitals started to lockdown. Hopefully, he will not have any more severe allergic reactions where you’ll have to use the epi-pen. Wishing you the best of luck on getting your studio back up and running, I’m sure it will be nice when you have the extra room!

2020-05-07 14:55:55 +0000 UTCI'm sorry to hear about what happened to your child. As someone who has food allergies herself, I know how hard the battle can be. A suggestion to help with this that has worked for me is to make as much as you can from scratch when possible. If not possible, label reading the ingredients will be crutial. Google the ingredients to see if something is derived from the food that causes allergy. I wish you both the very best. And I'll be sending you positive vibes.
