"I'm going to come out smelling like a florist!" Xershi spat through her teeth. "This isn't dignified for a warrior of my caliber, this is for those pampered nobles that have never been within earshot of a battle!"
"Nonsense," argued Laird. "It's juniper and fir. Extracts have medicinal properties, you know. Just because you've never tried doesn't mean it doesn't have its place. Besides, enjoying the finer parts of life should be good for you anyway, now that you're working with us. And, if we're being honest, I don't think anyone would mind too much if you smelt just a little nicer."
"If you want me to enjoy the finer things, I'd rather have a meal fit for a king or non-stop tankards at the tavern than this." Xershi muttered under her breath. "Next time I choose how we spend our petty coin."
