Marble Ruins

With a flick of her ears and a stamp of her hoof, the doe regarded the approaching folk with suspicion. The woman with the staff made from mossy oak, gnarled and knotted at it's head, and clothing held together by flowering vines made her way slowly towards her.

Gently, the woman touched the head of her staff, and spoke unfamiliar words in a calming manner as she moved her hand from her staff, to her own mouth towards the doe. "Now, speak with me, young one" she asked of her woodland friend. "Do you know of those who built this place?"

"A friend of the woods?" The doe asked, only understood by the mysterious woman, to which she nodded.

"A friend of the woods shall be answered." It replied, as best it could. "It has been long since the woods have seen another friend. Longer than this one's time."

"This one was not here before the stones came down. Ancestors speak of other friends of the woods who made den here. It was a joyous time for the woods, being cared for by the friends."

"Then they were gone. The stone dens came down upon the ground, but the woodlands remained. My kind comes here. It is peaceful, and it reminds this one of the friends, though this one has never met their kind before you. It's as if they remain, somehow. This one misses them. Perhaps the new ones can bring them back? The woods would be ever so grateful..."

Marble Ruins, the second most popular map voted for by yourselves. Not a day in the forrest goes by that our trusty adventures don't stumble across some kind of ruined old temple. Hopefully this one will serve them well as a potential camp for the night.

Note, whilst I've shared the images of the 'activated' sigil there are versions where it's dormant. Enjoy!
