I DM for a group of friends and with this map I wanted to challenge them across two fronts. First they arrived in the top area where they where following a trail in to the middle, to a point just between the rocks and the downed tree. When there the ground proved to be unstable and shifted beneath their feet causing some of the group to fall in to the den down below. The party now seperated both where suddenly set upon by a family of ... "bearowls". With their resources split they had to find a way to best deal with the encounter, thankfully the wizard's hypnotic gaze saved him from being eaten in the first turn and they managed to claw themselves a victory. Perhaps they learned not to go poking around in nature without good reason - but I doubt it.
So this map, like all future maps, is available as a downloadable file. You'll find it attached to this post and when downloaded there are hex, square and non-grid options for you to choose from for your home game.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it - my players certainly had a blast. As my first map released to the wider world please share it far and wide, the more support I get the more I'll be able to make in the future. I'd love to know what you think of the map or any suggestions for future themes, locations or similar in the comments.
