Change In How Pledges Are Collected

So first if you are a current patron nothing changes with how your pledge is collected, these changes only apply to new Patrons. Recently Fiona and I enrolled our Patreon account into the beta "Charge up Front" program on Patreon. Existing patrons still have their pledge collected on the the first of each month, but new patrons have their pledge collected and processed immediately when they pledge. 

Bellow are the Reasons for Trying out this Program...

Fiona and I have decided to try this new system for a few reasons. First at the start of each month our displayed revenue to our patrons fluctuates drastically.  We recently in July passed one of our goals only to have the amount we received change and fall below the goal at the end of the month. We want to prevent confusion when it comes to passing goals, especially when they involve an increase in the production of recordings. Under this new system the numbers that are displayed to our patrons will be much more accurate in showing what we are receiving in pledges.

Next under this system there will no longer be wait times on rewards that are offered in limited amounts since I will not have to wait to see if a pledge clears at the end of the month. There has recently been some issues with these rewards where pledges have not gone through and the patron was either left scrabbling to find an alternative way to process their pledge through Patreon or have been stuck waiting an extra month for the pledge to process. Now any payment issues can be fixed early in the month instead of right at the end in a big rush.

Finally this will stop people who pledge and cancel their pledge multiple times a month to take files for free. Now I am not opposed to people sampling our work and if they do not like it, refunding their pledge. The issue comes up when I get enough people pledging and canceling that it interferes with my displayed revenue and goals being accurate to my patrons. Again I am not against refunding a new person a $5 pledge if they decide they do not like the content on my Patreon page. The issue is with users who repeatedly pledge and cancel every time I make a post to take files for free.
