Added 2024-05-16 23:09:56 +0000 UTCForgot to include my editing timeline... I don't think it's overly interesting, but I'll try to remember to include those going forward.

I love all of your videos, but the Tetris one was IMO, the best content you've created so far, thank you so much to make this amazing work and deliver for us, you are the GOAT!

2024-08-04 04:29:51 +0000 UTCIt's so tricky to know what to edit out. Some people are unphased by a 2-hr video, but there must be a ton of youtube shorts addicts who get green in the gills seeing that runtime. But of course a 2-hour video will bore everybody if it doesn't have a logical flow to it and rises and falls in the action. The Tetris story had this in abundance. So you find what helps tell the story and cut out the rest. Nobody but you misses what you left out. (you and smallant that is!). And we get to learn about it here in the deleted scenes DVD extras.

2024-05-28 20:03:36 +0000 UTCThanks for the awesome videos. I knew some of this history, but lost the thread seemingly just before rolling was discovered. Watching this, I was blown away by how far players has pushed the achievements.

2024-05-18 16:49:20 +0000 UTCFirst off, excellent job on the video; truly enjoyed it. I will definitely say that your new style of writing your script was worth it; the story seemed to flow well and constant build-up toward the future chapters really kept me engaged with your video. Regardless of how you approach your next video, your content is always exciting and I'm already looking forward to the next one.

2024-05-18 05:04:28 +0000 UTCCool to see that one of my favorite parts of the video (the chart reveal to show Eric's crazy championship run to level 146) was also a part of the video that you liked. The inspiration story about the Olympic long jump record is wild, too! I had never heard that before.

2024-05-17 00:26:06 +0000 UTCI think what makes Tetris difficult to talk about is that it has two parallel achievements going on at the same time. It's one of the rare games that has a true world champion that is crowned every year by objective scoring. The CTWC is massive now and I've been watching it since Jonas was winning. But it is totally independent of the world record. So, the world record matters, but being the world record holder doesn't mean shit in the CTWC. Playing under pressure at a live competition is a different animal compared to playing endless games at your house. The best are still the best at the CTWC, but CTWC could damn near have it's own video. From Jonas being the Godfather of Tetris to his first lost, the evolution of the controller styles. The personalities and inside jokes at every event. Even When Jonas died had a huge impact on the game. I mean, the championship trophy is a "J" piece now, because of Jonas. It's a story that is impossible to tell in two hours, or even four. You brought up Jon Bois. The history of Tetris could easily be given the seven part Minnesota Vikings type analysis because of how much stuff is going on there. I think you did a great job keeping it concise enough for normal people to grasp it though. I have no problem paying for this type of stuff.
