2020-02-29 08:50:21 +0000 UTCYes that is true, they do miss a few details if they look in the camera. I suppose the best for paying attention is Dub with subtitles lol. Personally most of the voices in cg arent as good in dub but Lelouch's speeches are pretty fire in dub too.

But it's probably be the same for an english native speaker to hear the french dubs, even some are really great. France is probably in top 5 of countries who make the best dub (movies, tv show, anime...). But I don't care, I don't watch code geass anyway lol

2020-02-28 18:26:04 +0000 UTCCode Geas is one of a literal handful of dubs I actually prefer to the sub. So you may like it or you may not like it if you've gotten used to the sub. It's definitely worth trying out

Also, that sentence of yours is wrong, remove either "Can't" and put "Can". Then it'll make sense like "I can never watch dub.

Also, I very much like the subs as well, as a matter of fact 98% of all of the animes that I watch are in sub. the only ones are in dub when I watch while eating or doing something so I can listen and do whatever it is that I want to do. Earlier, I said prefer dub over sub for reactors because most of the reactors have earphones or headphones where they use, so that way they don't really miss as much as when they watch in sub and then look at the camera and try to make a good reactions for YouTube. like I was born yesterday and I can tell who are reacting just for the sake of it and not to be called out.

2020-02-28 11:49:58 +0000 UTCIf you were to make a poll, watching a dub would never win (aside from Dragon Ball probably). People who like dubs are usually pretty loud about it and are a minority. I personally prefer the sub, but I just checked a key scene from R2 in the official dub and it was on par with the original. But, like another one said, you should probably watch the last episode of the season in the sub version even if you decide to stick with the dub for the rest of the season

2020-02-28 06:14:41 +0000 UTCI do agree that dub is actually pretty good in code geass(tho personally i think sub is still better but it doesnt matter too much if you take a liking to the dub) but i actually think that sometimes its harder for reactors to focus on details in dub. Since they speak over the show sometimes, i can barely hear the show over their talking and im afraid that might cause them to miss important dialogue. So at the very least I think putting in subtitles(in either language) is necessary.

2020-02-28 05:06:34 +0000 UTCthe dub is good and I honestly rather watch reactors react to dubs rather than subs because they keep on missing stuff while they try to talk or pays more attention into their reaction to make a good reaction (not referring to you Allona but other people, so no hurt feeling) and then later on they come saying when did this happen or whatnot. If you watch in dub then you can talk as much as you want while listening to what the characters are saying not miss anything out from dialogue side of view.

2020-02-28 03:07:11 +0000 UTCWouldn't hurt to try it out. I've seen other reactors react to the dub for technical reasons and they get along just fine. Best part is, you can always switch, since its your house, your rules. I would say the main cast gets good voice acting all-around. If you're familiar with a lot of Dub actors (like the ones in Funimation for instance), you'll be right at home. JYB is probably the best possible choice they could've gotten. I especially want to see that initial reaction to hearing the voices, lol.

2020-02-28 02:59:55 +0000 UTCI feel like it has a lot to do with what you are used to. For me, I've almost exclusively watched subs ever since I got into anime so anything dubbed just feels off. However, I have heard a lot of praise for the english dub of Code Geass, so you might just like it.

Lelouch's aswell as Charles' (the emperor) japanese voice actors are just perfect and the english ones just feels off to me. With that said however, I think you should watch it whichever way want. Just keep subtitles on for us watching.
