Even if Katakuri turns into Mochi you should still be able to hit his body using Armament Haki which Luffy was doing. That’s why Luffy was confused when he couldn’t hit Katakuri even though he was using Armament Haki.

I'm pretty sure Katakuri could have done any number of things to prevent that if Luffy would have released him like that. By staying close to the mirror and breaking it from the inside he took the decision that would ensure his crew's safety.

as much as i'd like her to react in 3-6 episode batches and catch up to the end of the WCI arc, if not at least the end of Luffy v Katakuri, with only 50+ episodes left till she catches up to the anime as a whole and probably react to it on a weekly basis after (if she skips the fillers, we may not even see her react to OP in weeks. then there's the burnout from overly extended scenes like Luffy v Bellamy pt2), mayhaps it be time to ask the missus to slow down on OP, and start recommending another show or two to fill up her schedule in between (other than Jojo & DS)?

the biggest reason i think luffy chose to being him into the mirro world and smash the mirror is cuz he doesnt like having a stong opponent like katakuri and not being able to beat him and knows hes as big a threat as BM and chose to go the biggest predator just like he did with lucci, also he probably knew he had to smash the mirror cuz katakuri would b able to stop him from going back and taking brulee with him, knowing shed b able to send any1 else thru while was busy with katakuri :D

As always, this was a great reaction. It seems like the big arc climax is coming. How exciting! Also, I know it’s for plot drama, but I think Luffy should have shoved Katakuri into the mirror and simultaneously pulled Brûlée out trapping the sweet general in mirroworld.
