This is more a cry of the soul than a meaningful text.
And its brevity will be sterilized by my poor command of English.
But whatever. I think I can clearly demonstrate why you should not work when you are sick.
Let's start with the fact that a day later, when I decided to finally just rest and do some short work, I got very sick. But since working with 3d for me both work and rest, it was decided to continue working, especially after I was motivated by the fact that the new pipeline all the animation was done in 1 day, except for hair and clothes.
And therein lies the first problem. I have not found a suitable model of Itto, which was originally planned. It would not be difficult to adapt another body for him, but not easy either. Personally, I can't imagine Itto without large muscles, his model obviously does not correspond to the given archetype of the character. So after losing a couple of days it was decided to change the pair, good thing you gave me options.
Except, the animation was done for a large and small character, so I had to throw time away on the adaptation too.
I was still not feeling well when I made this location. Luckily, I had structured most of the assets a while back, which helped me create this location in just one day. Then a whole week went into fixing the grass... The first version of the grass in the initial part of the animation was just a plane following the camera. It created a ton of artifacts whenever the camera got even a bit more active, and I couldn’t solve the issue. The creator of the grass never responded to my question about it. Every time I thought I had fixed the problem, it would show up again in the middle or end of the render.
And my render times are very long... yeah.
I didn’t describe all the problems, but the text is already going to be long—THE FASCINATING COINCIDENCES ARE JUST BEGINNING. Due to endless renders, the computer, it seems, started feeling unwell. The sometimes wouldn't start until I replugged... USB ports? What? Well, what about me, I went to fix it, now everything is fine with it. For now...
The question is why, at the same time, my old hard drive with Windows started to fail. ◉_◉
And okay, it’s not a big problem; it was about time to replace it, or better yet, to reinstall Windows on an SSD. But going to the store for a flash drive while feeling sick wasn’t the best idea, and mine turned out to be broken. So, I installed Windows without a flash drive, directly from the PC. Do you know what the problem with this method is? When you install a new Windows this way, you can't assign it the C drive letter; you'll have to use a different one. When the system starts, the boot partition still identifies itself as drive C, but the path to the files will be different. This isn't a problem for games and most programs. BUT IT IS A BIG ONE FOR ALL SORTS OF SOFTWARE. By the way, Epic Games died on me twice; if you try to delete it using ctrl+shift+delete, it won’t want to reinstall, even if you delete everything related to it in the registry.
How can I make the situation worse? I can; I have a talent for it.
You can’t just change the letter of the boot partition like that. So, I had to move all the important files and erase the old partition to reinstall Windows properly again.
And since I have two similar drives, I accidentally… wiped everything from the wrong drive, which fortunately was just a dump for unimportant files.
Now I had to recover everything using Recuva. It’s very fun to fish out the files I need now.
Since the render was miraculously completed and the programs were working, I sat down to work on the sound, thinking everything would be ready by midday. And at the sound setup stage, RIGHT AT THAT MOMENT, the right ear of my headphones breaks... ... ...?
I’m familiar with the usual failure points; I've dealt with them more than once. BUT THIS TIME, this particular time, it wasn't easy to find, and when I got to the headband, taking out the wire, I saw that there was a twist of wires in the center of it. This means the service center I took the headphones to intentionally put in a damaged cable. Back then, they didn’t place the tension compensator correctly, which caused the headphones to break earlier, and I had to fix them. But I never thought they did such a poor job. Next time, I need to do a return under warranty, not a repair.
Well, that's how it is, write whether it's interesting to read this or not. Personally, I find it funny to reread all this now, it's too good to be true. That's why my friend and I decided to relax in Hunt Showdown, downloaded it on the 14th, and on the 16th we decided to go to the Halloween update. •◡• It was in this update that they stopped supporting the AVX processor function, and switched completely to AVX 2, which is not supported by older generations of processors. Because they couldn't optimize their garbage ... for the umpteenth time. Considering the online of this game... phe
