Perhaps this will be revisited before a 1.0. Additional battle themes will be commissioned so you shouldn't get hearing the same thing too often--a minimum of 7, perhaps up to 12--we'll see.

I have to be honest here, I think we need more music like Battle Theme 1. It opens by setting a solid pace in three-four timing - one that doesn't feel like it's trying to rush the player. It has an excellent mix of piano, woodwind instruments and is lightly punctuated with bells and a tambourine. Theme 5 opens too fast and too hard, it's melody in the first 90 seconds is far too chaotic and doesn't feel like it's going in a solid direction. Cutting the beat at 1:40 was an odd choice too. I can pick a few bars in there that are reminiscent of Final Fantasy VII and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but not in a way that feels right for this game. There's something going for it with the melody from 1:40 to 3:10 (minus that jet engine noise from 3:04 to 3:08), but it feels like something else could be added to supplement or vary the chords from 3:23 to 4:20. The downward melody at 4:20 and 4:30 just feel completely out of place. In short, while it's clear that a lot of work went into this piece, I firmly believe that it needs work and refinement before a full release. I would not want to listen to this track over and over during a battle scene in an RPG like this game.
