Added 2022-05-28 15:01:01 +0000 UTCCharacters' design changes a little bit from the first to second series. After all, there's a three years gap. Loraile gets a few extra pieces of equipment like the armbands (they have a flame emblazoned on them, they actually empower fire spells), her amulet and the tiara on her forehead. She also got rid of the lucky charms she used to wear, as they were pointless.
Dew obtains that weird floating piece of cloth that wraps around her arms. It buffs water spells.
Justina doesn't change much, even though she used to wear a dress and now she finds pants to be much more comfortable and better at hiding her padding.
Larius' shield design is supposed to represent a constellation that you can see on page 254. I skipped the part that talks about it because it wasn't exactly necessary and the story is already way too long >.<

Sometimes pictures can take more than words. And if you ever want to explain some DQ lore you can do what The Wizard of Oz The Manga did. Have the main character at the end include some stories that happened along the way between. It was a way to include stories that were irrelivant to the overall plotline.
