Just like with Otto, his role in the story is not over yet, so I’m looking forward to your next reactions! The cracking and Subaru saying “thank you” after using Shamac was his gate shattering. In the beginning of the season, Felix said that it was badly damaged and he needs to let it rest for at least 2 months. In the light novel, it was stated that Subaru clearly felt it breaking and wanted to thank it for helping him thus far. As for the Frozen Witch and Witch’s Daughter, these titles aren’t to be taken seriously here. It was just another one of Echidna’s jabs and Emilia used that name to stand up for herself, showing that those comparisons don’t bother her anymore.
