Re:Zero Season 1 Episode 22-23 Reaction/Review

This is just one of my own theories again, so no clue if it's actually right or not, but I'll just write it out anyways because it might be interesting. So far we know that the Pride seat is empty, according to Petelguse, at least. He clearly saw something in Subaru to think that. It probably is because of his power and the amount of scent he gives off, as we saw one of the Fingers say that his amount of the scent was equal to a Sin Archbishop. It's also worth noting that Patrache, the ground dragon he's riding on, was called to be a prideful type of ground dragons. I wonder if that was intentionally done, as in like: a prideful man riding a prideful mount, or something. There is also some other stuff that makes me wonder about if he's supposed to be Pride or not, but since I haven't actually read any light novels for Re:Zero, all I can do is just guess at this point. I personally think that he was probably supposed to be Pride, but he was able to change himself and not become as crazy and twisted as the Witch Cult people are. On another note, Petelguse's voice actor absolutely nailed his role or portraying a super creepy, crazy and insane cultist. Wilhelm was able to see the hands on the first fight because of the water that was raining down on the hands. After all, water just doesn't go through something invisible, but just hits it instead. It's simple, if you cover something invisible with something (a lot of media I've seen, like to use powders and dust, like flour for example) it just stops being invisible, because it's covered in something else; in this case it's the water bouncing off of the hands. We can see this very briefly later when Wilhelm is fighting another Finger, before Subaru himself was taken over. Him being able to be taken over was also foreshadowed before in another episode when Puck killed Petelguse and then Subaru froze to death, but the loop ended with him laughing. This death wasn't really all that brutal or anything but it broke my heart how Julius and Felix had to kill someone they cared for. Especially with the song playing in the background sung by Emilia's voice actress (about how it's sad to be alone) and then them showing Emilia looking into the distance, as if she could sense something happened.
