The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King Reaction/Review

I didn't see it mentioned here so I'll say it. The little girl who ran up at the end, Sams daughter Elanor was born during a time in which that generation of Hobbits born were particularly fair. Elanor Gamgee being considered the fairest hobbit girl, practically as much as an elf. Elanor went on to be the handmaid of the queen Arwen. She is played by Ali Astin the real life daughter of Sean Astin who played Sam.

oh I see! for sure that is a traumatic experience poor Frodo needs that rest and healing 😭 thank you for answering my question πŸ₯°πŸ€—

A question that I don't think has been answered for you yet, at least in this Patreon post, is why Frodo left the Shire with Gandalf and Bilbo. Basically, the effect of holding The Ring for so long was taxing on him mentally and spiritually. "Time cannot heal all wounds" as Frodo put it. He left with everyone to a place called the Undying Lands, which is something like "Heaven on Earth". There he could be at peace and back to his normal self

I hope that you will enjoy it (/≧▽≦)/ what an amazing ending πŸ₯Ή

A few silly behind the scene stuff, 2:09:15, the guy that got shot is actually the movie director, Peter Jackson. 2:47:27, a normal flail size is about the size of a tennis ball, Peter keep asking to make it bigger and it end up the size of a person torso.

Kurato Wakiru

an awesome movie, so glad you liked it too!

It has been long while since I've seen these movies so watching them again with you has been a great time. And the ending still hits in the feels even though I've seen these movies before. Thank you so much for your wonderful reactions as always. As for what happens after the end: there are no movies since Tolkien did not write any books that continue the story after LoTR. However, at the end of the third book there are the Appendixes where he goes over a lot of the lore stuff and in Appendix B he wrote what happens after the story. In summary: - Gandalf, being actually a Maiar (Basically an angel in the setting of LoTR ) is allowed to return to the Undying Lands, the home of Valar (basically gods), Maiar and Elves, now that his job of defeating Sauron is done. - Frodo and Bilbo, as a reward for being Ring Bearers and for their part in destruction of the One Ring are also allowed to depart to the Undying Lands to rest and heal. - Sam ends up becoming the mayor of the Shire for seven times. After his wife dies he leaves the Red Book of Frodo and Bilbo to his daughter and because he too was a Ring Bearer, if only for a short while, he is permitted to sail to the Undying Lands. - Merry and Pippin become influential members of Hobbit society, maintaining strong relations between Shire, Rohan and Gondor. Eventually they both retire to Minas Tirith where they are buried among the honored dead. - Aragorn reigns as the King of Gondor for many years until he finally passes away at the age of 210. He is buried next to Merry and Pippin. - Legolas and Gimli remain friends for life. After Aragorn's death Legolas builds his own ship and also sets sail to the Undying Lands. And as a special favor Gimli is allowed to go with him. Their departure is the last members of the Fellowship of the Ring leaving Middle Earth. Finally, another bit of trivia, regarding Saruman's death at 17:42. Originally Saruman was meant to be a bit louder when he died. However Sir Christopher Lee, Saruman's actor, served as a soldier and spy for the British military during World War 2, so... let's just say he knew from very real experience how a human being behaves when stabbed in the back. So they altered the scene based on his advice. There is a clip from an old behind the scenes interview, called "Christopher Lee SCHOOLS Peter Jackson on realistic death sounds" on YouTube, where they talk about this if you want to check it out for yourself.
