Added 2021-07-17 15:00:05 +0000 UTCA few more "Tales of" facts.
The name of the main character is Lint Finis. It's latin and lint is short for linteum, which can be translated as diaper. Lint also refers to the small clumps of cloth fibers, a pretty fun coincidence that I found out later. Finis can mean end, goal, so her name translation could be that her goal is to be diapered :3 However! The main plot of the story is that Lint is an orphan and was adopted. She later finds out that her name is... Well, Justina.
Yep. Originally Justina was a name meant for this character. After the story was scrapped I decided to keep it as the real name for someone else that you know very well :3
(I forgot this information was also available on the secret of Diaper Quest :P )
At least this comic had some lore and thought put into it, compared to my standards back then. The spells were all written in latin, here's a translation of the few we see in chapter 1.
Page 16: "Pine needles, fall on my enemy" and "Oh, tree, hit my foe with your trunk" (stem).
On page 20 we have "Light shield, I summon you!"
Speaking of latin, Violet Pluma means purple feather as pointed out by Lint on page 10 and, guess what, Violet (very originally) has a small feather on her head, as a decoration.
I am going to add that I compeltely forgot which direction I wanted to take with the story. I am actually a bit surprised that, digging out an unfinished page, you can see Violet taking a peek under Lint's skirt, out of curiosity.
It's very possible that I had planned something for that character but... Heh. That seems to be a pretty strong occurence in every comic I make. At least one character has to be a diaper pervert of some sort X3
