Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster)
This circlet is set with a crystalline meteor shard found at an ancient crater. The surface of the shard sparkles with otherworldly radiance. While wearing the circlet, you have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks, and you can't be surprised while you can see the night sky. Furthermore, if you can see stars in the sky, you also know which way is north.
The circlet has 5 charges and regains 1d4 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn, or all expended charges if you were outside for at least 4 hours after dusk and could see the stars. While wearing the circlet, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges to cast the guiding bolt spell from it, using your spell attack bonus. The spell looks like a shooting star. In addition, whenever you hit a target with a spell attack, you can expend 1 or more of the circlet's charges to deal 1d8 radiant damage to the target for each charge spent.
Twinkle, twinkle, star so bright,
Guide my hand with heaven's light.
