Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Arcanist’s Bladestaff — A staff with a crystal orb at one end, tapering to a swordlike blade on the other. You gain a bonus to attack rolls and damage made with this magical quarterstaff, as well can expend charges to incrase your AC or saving through, as well as spells such as guiding bolt, lightning bolt, and wall of fire.

2) Ambrosia — A thick liquid in an ornate decanter that instills a feeling of fulfillment and grants several benefits for limited time, such as increased size and ability scores, damage resistances, and the aura similar to a deity.

3) Steam Star — A morningstar that has a steam mephit trapped inside, making it deal fire damage instead of piercing. It can release a cone of scalding steam, or harmlessly use that steam to replicate the blur spell for creatures in it's space.

4) Brumal Hat — A magical top hat that allows you to change your form into a snowperson who can tolerate cold temperatures, is indistinguishable from an ordinary snowperson while motionless, though you are unable to move.

5) Venatio's Horn — A brass horn bearing the images of gladiators battling great beasts. You can use it to create a special arena within a cylinder of your choice, which magically prevents a creature from leaving that space. You can also use the horn to summon a lion within the cylinder.

6) Staff of the Jackal Lord — A polished marble staff that is topped with the likeness jackle-headed demon lord. You know the thaumaturgy cantrip while attuned to the staff, and can expend charges to cast spells such as bestow curse, create or destroy water, and inflict wounds.

7) Rose Headed Mace — A mace in the design of a rosebud, which opens up into a blossom when in sunlight and closes again when in darkness. You can cast different spells from the mace in either form, such as spike growth.
