Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Bottle Blade — This sword has a hollow channel running along its length. You can attach a flask or vial full of liquid, such as acid or holy water, to change the swords effects.

2) Mudslide Gauntlets — These gauntlets give you a bonus to Athletics checks made to shove a creatures. You can also slam them on the ground to cause a deluge of mud to spout from them in a line, making the area difficult terrain and potentially pushing targets back and knocking them prone.

3) Moonlight Shield — A light-casting shield bearing the emblem of a moon. Its phase changes to match the amount of light it sheds. You can use it to cast the moonbeam spell once a day.

4) Mycelium's Reach — This staff can sprout invisible branching mycelium in an area around the staff which gives creatures that holds it tremorsense and allows them to make a Perception checks as if they were standing at any point in that area. Multiple creatures can hold the staff at the same time to gain these benefits.

5) Boots of All Terrain — These finely made ranger boots are covered in druidic runes. Once a day, you can click the heels to temporarily ignore difficult terrain and gain a bonus to Stealth checks for 1 minute.

6) Holy Eclipse — This double sided axe has a sun and moon on each blade, and can be used with a cleric's Channel Divinity to make it glow for 1 minute. During that time, the axe deals additional radiant or necrotic damage, depending of which side of the weapons you choose to use.

7) Broadbill Wand — A wand fashioned from a piece of a swordfish's upper jaw. While wielding it, you don't need verbal components to cast spells underwater and you can communicate simple ideas with beasts that can breathe water, though you have no special ability to understand them in return.
