My husband and I are revamping their story (called Robotmom back in 2015, was 7 years ago holy crap), that I now call Heart of Maquina, and to put the story briefly:
M- who has been called Mother by word of mouth and thought of as myth- has been going around saving and sheltering and rehabilitating broken, abandoned and malfunctioning robots that have been deemed outdated, and thrown away. These strays were trashed by the mega-corp-city Helios, in order to appear and remain up to date and pristine. But Helios also utilizes cleansing units, of which Q and her partner Shift, is apart of. These units go around and find the strays to make sure they are completely disposed of so as to not compromise Helios' image. They also have an important task at hand, which is to find and deal with the Mother to further prevent her actions.
I,Robot, A.I, and Robots heavily influenced this story lol, but I also just- wanted more mixture of androids and mechanical robots, as well as a tinge of neo-noir and sexy robot ladies :) Hope to work on it some more some day!
