Getting ready to drag out this incredibly tiny costume again after 4 years. I’ve not performed with this @manugeettoi set since before the pandemic and I miss it! I’m swapping the ostrich fans for silk as you have seen on my last couple of posts.

This show is such a special one for me because I’m performing with my friends and favorite artists in PR, in a venue that has been open for generations by the same family, La Estacion, in Rincon. This venue takes me back to my early days of Chicago Burlesque. I’m not sure why… But I love every moment of it. I’m so thankful for Christina Manuge for re-creating the vintage bra of this costume. It was handmade by Lorraine Gail Smith out of Boston who performed at the 2 o’clock. It’s rare that I wear her pieces for this particular bra, I had no idea who this collection belonged to at the time. Only through years of research did I finally find out who she was, years after I have been performing with this costume on stage so I keep it my performance rotation because it is now a part of me too.
