Feeling accomplished today

As promised, I’m keeping you updated on my sewing progress.

I came across this cheeky mushroom fabric on the Internet and had to have it! I was so nervous about buying it because it was rather expensive and I really was not feeling good about my sewing skills. It’s been so many years since sewing was my primary source of income And I have forgotten so much. I had always been frustrated with my sewing machine in the past, so I decided to buy a new one. The one I chose to buy is a heavy duty, sewing machine for thick, dense fabric, such as denim. I noticed in the past that every time that I tried to so heavy fabric, my needle would break. this new sewing machine really works like a champ, no broken needles so far and I’ve been sewing some pretty dense fabric.

Lately I’ve had the time to get comfortable with sewing again. I’m loving this journey. Sewing can be quite frustrating at times so I decided to brush up on my sewing techniques and chose to follow my friend Christina https://www.patreon.com/Manugeettoi?utm_campaign=creatorshare_fan

Right here on PATREON. I’m so happy that she puts out these incredible tutorials that make sewing easy and fun again. It’s so difficult to dive into a sewing project without direction. Now, my friend Christina can sew anything, but she chooses to focus on lingerie, burlesque, costumes, and performance costumes. She has made several of my pieces and is currently designing my newest burlesque costume, you can see updates of my volcano costume on her page. I love watching the progress reports she posts. Anyhow, tomorrow I will be shooting in this beautiful new mushroom bikini top that I have just made today. As always, the full sets will be posted on my super volcano tier , much of the site will be posted on my volcano tier, and I will be sharing a few safe for work photos for my other tiers.

While this is not a vintage costume or vintage clothing, it is designed as a tribute bra. A tribute bra is a bra that pays tribute to beach wear and striptease bikini style tops of the mid century. Think Bettie page, tempest storm, Lily St.Cyr, etc. I’m definitely going to be working with this pattern more and more, Making different styles for costuming and beach wear.

Do you ever watch online tutorials for your projects? What are some of your favorites? Obviously, one of my favorites is my friend Christina, she is not a burlesque performer or nude content performer. However, if you are interested in sewing, or understanding, the history of how burlesque and striptease costumes are made, have been made, and will be made in the future, follow her!

😂🤗💗🎉 my momma taught me how to colorize photos. It just takes lots of practice. I still use the old equipment from my grandmas time. I like those better since I was taught with them.

So you! 😉😁

I've watched some tutorials on colorizing photos but it's a little over my head. I've had some pretty good results with the new colorize filter in Photoshop though. You're the internet tushy queen so this bikini is perfect for you.

This looks absolutely adorable, Danielle! I’m happy to see you flex your sewing muscles again. And thank you so much for the shout out! 💗

Those are some VERY cheeky mushrooms. My mom had a sewing machine once upon a time. She made mine and my sisters’ clothes when we were tiny.

Love the fabric!! Not a seamstress but admire those who are.
