I’m so proud of my niece Alaina for graduating Malcom X college with a focus in psychology.

My daughter Memphis came out to celebrate with Alaina and was inspired by the graduation process and the pretzels sold at the venue😂. She has been saving money for school and is doing great! Memphis and My son Miles have always been inspired by Alaina. She helped raise them and is definitely a caretaker for the family. She went into Psychology in part because of the need within the family for mental health practitioners.

We laughed, cried, hugged and danced our asses off this week!

I’ve been in my feels because life moves so fast and I’m trying to learn to organize my mind and life for successful mental health progress. It means a lot of change, which affects every relationship in my life. My goal is to more positively affect my loved ones. To strengthen my own mind so that I can continue to be a strength to my kin and community. I’m learning so much from Alaina about how to go about this.

Somehow in the midst of all of these moving parts to the week, Alaina found time to take me out for a pampering mother’s day ritual of mani/pedi luxuriating and lunch.

It was such a special treat!
