A fleeting friendship

She looked fragile and defenseless, reminding him of himself, so he decided to keep her as a friend, spending the entire afternoon talking about their lives and misadventures.
The next day, Lee Hoon came home from school like every day. Excited to have little Miga waiting for him at home, he walked inside, took off his jacket, and walked to his living room. But at that moment, he heard a crunch under his bare foot. Praying to every possible deity that it wasn't that, he tremblingly lifted his foot to check.
