Embroidery

Embroidery gets so taken for granted. It’s one of those things I think many people don’t consciously think about. Anymore it’s usually done on a machine and takes no time at all. But prior to the 1950s, while embroidery machines did exist, a majority of embroidery was done by hand. Here’s a little article about the history of the embroidery machine.

I love greens, basically because they bring out my eyes which are green also. I guess I am really onto darker color clothes. Always have been because I've always had a weight problem. But I am at the age where I don't care about what other people think. I love your beauty and confidence. 😍😍

I love this! You must have had a sweet momma. Neither of my babies learned sewing from me. Maybe I was always too frustrated to teach them properly. Sewing always put me in a zone but I could never teach it effectively. I never Gad the patience.

My mom always said she can’t wear yellow. I do love the color but green can get tricky on me.

My mother taught me as a child to do several crafts that would be considered females. Now as I am older, Hobby Lobby have my heart just like Lowe's would. I am glad I learned and I am able to understand the beauty of work with your hands. Love the dress. Blessed be.

You even look good in yellow 😉. I can't wear yellow, orange or pink.

That dress looks great on you. So many things such as embroidery were done by hand in the past. Tatting as well as embroidery both amazed me when a person could sit and make it look so beautiful using a few basic tools, and lots of time, talent and patience.
