Last day home

Well, today is my last day home before I head back to the quad cities for a few days. Just a couple quick doctors appointments and then I turn around and come back to the island for a week before I head to Nashville to work. Since I was a little girl I had a strange fatty tumor inside my cheek. Time for it to come out and be biopsied so that I can stop thinking about it.

It will take no time at all but the truly tragic part is that I chipped my tooth so when I get the other thing taken care of I also have to have my tooth fixed. I’ve been walking around for the last week with a chipped tooth and it feels so weird. Fortunately it’s not visible. I’m really lucky that the last time I was in the Quad cities for dental work, my dentist told me that I needed a mouthguard or bite guard. He said that my bite is extremely hard and it is causing the migraines and tooth pain I’ve been having and if I don’t start sleeping with a mouthguard, I could crack my teeth because of grinding.

So now I’ve been sleeping with a mouthguard like a 14-year-old. I hate it. It gags me in the middle of the night it feels weird in my mouth, and the worst part is that it’s starting to actually feel normal…😂

Anyhooo, today is my last day here, I leave at 5AM for some family time and dental care.

Excited because I get to stay with my son, Miles. His house is always so clean and well put together. Last month when I went to his house, he was washing the cement to get oil stains off of his drive way. My old dog Vida lives with him now and I’m so excited to cuddle with her again too.

Mike and Tish will also be there so I get to see both road family and blood family 🎉
