Yesterday we went to the mangroves to shoot some more of my goldfish series with Jeremy. My friend at @oakumcollection made this beautiful Goldfish costume for me to wear above or underwater. The first thing I noticed was how sturdy this set is. I did not lose any fringe or a single sequin in the ocean. That was very important to me. My goal when shooting these Patreon underwater adventure sets is to leave the smallest footprint possible. We were shooting in the mangroves and itβs pretty tight quarters at times. I was afraid the skirt would get ripped on the mangroves but the fabric held up beautifully. Also, by hiring a small batch designer I'm ensuring the quality of the costume which means fewer costumes have to be purchased. Truly buying handcrafted, small-batch, slow fashion items is one of the best ways to help the environment. Thank you @oakumcollection for making my goldfish dreams come true! Weβre working on creating a Blue Tang costume and jellyfish costume next. Stay tuned for updates! What kind of ocean-inspired costumes would you like to see next?
