This was one hell of a night! I remember the night starting off with Haley and myself so excited to see the Asian burlesque festival. I was so excited to see my friends that I haven’t watched on stage for quite a while. My buddy, Calamity Chang took her time to interview with us and I learned so much about her. Normally most of my Burlesque takes me through Chicago in the mid west on a regular basis so going to New York is always such an exciting time especially to see burlesque. Especially especially when I get to see my friends perform! Especially especially especially when my friends called me up on stage afterwards to take a group photo with the cast… I was just so lovestruck 💘
One of my favorite people went with me to this burlesque festival. My friend Hiromi is a designer from Japan and since I was in New York, Haley and I got her tickets to the Asian burlesque festival as well! She was so inspired through the entire show! It was so cute to watch her face as all the performers entered and exited the stage.
After the Asian Burlesque festival was over, we went over to see my friend, the Maine Attraction at Dwayne Park where we got to see even more beautiful Burlesque and even more of my friends on stage! I don’t really remember leaving Dwayne Park but I’m sure that my dear friend Maine put us in a cab and sent us off to the hotel. I do remember sobering up at around two in the morning walking the streets of Soho looking for pizza with Haley😂 🍕.
I can’t even tell you how much I have loved the past decade of traveling with one of my best friends and someone who feels like a sister to me. Even though I seem to have no photos of me and Haley together of this night, Haley and I have been together for so long and it is a joy every time I get to go on an adventure with her. I cherish each moment I have with her. And I truly cherished each moment I had with my friends at the Asian Burlesque festival.
