With the damage from colonization causing so much harm, how do I live on an island and contribute positively to the future of this paradise? How do I leave less of a footprint and support the biodiversity, waterways, protected areas and indigenous peoples of this island? How do I better communicate and advocate for those who have generations of ancestral stories here?

Looking at my heritage and background I am very mixed with the native and colonizing population. With that in mind I can not hate one or the other. I realized that a lot of people that are bothered about that are not native. I am very happy and proud that you choose our island as your home. I am proud to say that you are my neighbor. I prefer to look at the beauty of our land than other more negative issues that might not even impact half of the population. I love you and I thank you dearly for your thoughts. Blessed Be.
