Vintage Chenille

What’s your favorite fabric texture? Why?

What I like about chenille fabrics is that they are quite hardwearing, albeit quite dense. I understand your passion for this kind of fabric, it has a nice velvety texture

2021-06-21 23:27:30 +0000 UTCGrandma's sheets. I was a kid so do not remember clearly. She would set the fan, mosquito net (mosquitero) and cover me with her (magic blanket) and I swear I would sleep like a baby. Puerto Rico can have some hot nights but her house was always fresh and welcoming.

I asked my mother once if my friends and I could throw the bedspread over the clothesline and use it as a tent in our backyard and she said yes. All went swimmingly until I got the idea to cut windows in the tent.... sigh.....
