Favorite Picks!

Picked in an old abandoned hospital in Valentine, Arkansas from an episode way back when.

The moment I laid eyes on this box I knew it was meant to be.

This magical bamboo decoupage purse is lined with bright red velvet and light to carry. The theme of this piece is obviously palmistry.

I brought it home and immediately put my tarot cards inside. After a few years my daughter Memohis fell in love with it so I passed it along to her.

Palmistry probably started in India but over time spread throughout China, Tibet, Egypt, Greece and Persia.

Due to wide spread panick over witchcraft it fell out of favor for quite a while but rose in popularity once again during the enlightenment era. Even Carl Jung spoke of his interest the practice

One of my great-grandmothers was very artsy/crafty and made decoupage purses for my older sister and me. I have no idea where it disappeared to over the years, but now I wish I did. Actually haven't thought about it in decades.

As a Tarot reader, the box looks like a Tarot Card box. It is a tradition to make your own box for traveling and protecting your cards. It is a beautiful piece and the materials and symbols are very specific. Great piece

What an interesting piece! I wonder if all the designs were decals, stencils or maybe hand-painted. The rose is particularly intricate...
