Church for the Water Witch

(Jeremy was by my side to capture the moment and we were able to make some lovely images together with the intention of giving over to the unknown and trusting a new path. As promised we will share the entire set to Volcano tier. )

“This week has been one intentionally designed for healing.

We’re all feeling the push and pull.

Today I tried to make an intentional practice of not resisting.

Due to real life and work it’s not always possible or easy for me to let go.

I have gifted myself 2 weeks of healing time to fall in love with life again.

No true crime, no violence or psychological thrillers, no social media, no news, no work or responsibility. After 12 years of non stop work/travel and constant disconnect I find it hard to connect with a life lived in one place. I need to learn to embrace stillness and not monetize every moment of my time. I’m way too good at that. It needs to stop. It’s robbing me of my sense of humanity. So I’m intentionally learning to connect to something greater than me.

Taking Two weeks of loving self indulgence and total disconnect is a luxury. One not everyone can afford. I’m thankful I can take this break.. Patreon, you, my patrons, bring me joy so I continue to post here as part of my healing.

In this time I’ve had reason to reflect on how I cope with pain, loss, disappointment and grief. I’ve learned that I’ve adapted some very unhealthy coping mechanisms.

These coping mechanisms have not served me well so it’s time to dig deep and learn a new way, healthier way to process and cope with what’s happening in my world and the greater world beyond myself.

I always return to the water.

The ocean today was the best place to give myself over.

The Goddess was calling.

I felt like many of us feel as if we are being reborn in one way or another. The sloughing off of what no longer serves us and the vulnerability of trusting the unknown.

It’s ok not to know it all. It’s ok to embrace learning. It’s ok to forgive yourself for those times of turmoil when you were stuck in survival mode. It’s ok to stop ruminating on the harm you caused while flailing in a permanent panicked state. It’s ok to embrace your growth from ignorance and it’s ok to continue that growth.

But, it is NOT ok to return to where you were. That place no longer exists for you. Just keep going forward.

You can not get well in the same soil that made you sick. You can’t return.

But.

You survived. You made it. It’s ok to be present in that knowledge, that safety, without guilt and it’s ok to allow yourself a rest from the constant mourning and grief of your past and of the world.

It’s ok for you to try, to want, to live.

It’s ok.”

Much love 💕

In my world, I’ve learned that acceptance of some things is essential for my well being. Understanding the difference between all forces is key. Good, evil, love, peace, all exist and seeking out a balance is life’s journey. At the end of the day you live with yourself.
