Today I start on mural #2! The first mural, this one with the flamingo I painted to remind me of Chicago. Flamingos? Chicago? OK I hear you…
Flamingos don’t represent Chicago but they represent a time in Chicago that it’s very important that I never forget.
This flamingo reminds me that no matter the situation, no matter the place, I can rebuild how when and where I please. It also reminds me that it’s incredibly important to care for your community and not think singularly.
Selfishness breeds selfishness breeds selfishness breeds selfishness.
When you teach kindness and community and understanding it breeds kindness and community and understanding.
These are things I learned in Chicago in front of a mural that looked much like this one. Does anyone remember this mural in chicago? It’s gone now.
My second Mural is going to be a blue Ocean themed Mural. It’ll be a great backdrop for the Venus routine I’m working on right now. I am in the process of building a giant oyster shell of paper mache for that routine and this blue ocean wave background will be the background for it. I can’t wait for y’all to see it, I will give you sneak peaks as I go along.
What are you doing with your Sunday to lift your spirits?
