In my searching I have come across quite a bit of Lynn O’Neill memorabilia. She was such a popular model and performer and very active on the circuit so there are more remnants of her memory than of many other performers.

Here are just a few of the pieces I have picked up along my way. You can read what looks to be a handwritten letter from her that she would send out with her garters and photographs but it was in fact a copy. It sure did look real though, on account of the red ink! I happen to have acquired two of them, both old, that’s how I know that it is a copy.

Lynne was known for sending garters along with her often personalized nude photos.

In these photos above I have two clear representations of her garters. One with her name stamped carefully on the back that appears to be from the 1950s, one that appears to be newer, no name stamped on the back but it was sent in a letter with a nude photo of her to one of her patrons, from maybe late 60’s. From there it fell into my hands.

Above you also see featured a newspaper cut out of her with her PO Box so that her fans and patrons could reach out to her and send her letters. She was well known for keeping in contact with vets and servicemen, probably because of her days traveling with the USO in the 1940s? She had a heart for a man in uniform.
